(SB 160)   Effective September 17, 2025.","effective":"2025-09-17","html":"<p>(a) The Board of Behavioral Sciences shall require an applicant for licensure as an educational psychologist, as defined in Sections <a href=\"/bpc/4989.14\">4989.14</a> and <a href=\"/bpc/4989.20\">4989.20</a>, to undergo a fingerprint-based state and national criminal history background check, pursuant to Section <a href=\"/bpc/144\">144</a>.</p><p>(b) The board shall submit to the Department of Justice fingerprint images and related information for individuals specified in subdivision (a) who are subject to a state and national criminal history background check, pursuant to subdivision (u) of Section <a href=\"/pen/11105\">11105</a> of the Penal Code.
