Section operative January 1, 2013, by its own provisions.","effective":"2012-01-01","html":"<p>(a) A district shall waive the fees of a student who is exempt from paying nonresident tuition under Section <a href=\"/edc/68130.5\">68130.5</a>, and who otherwise qualifies for a waiver under Section <a href=\"/edc/76300\">76300</a>, under regulations and procedures adopted by the board of governors. The Legislature finds and declares that this section is a state law within the meaning of Section <a href=\"/edc/1621\">1621</a>(d) of Title 8 of the United States Code.</p><p>(b) This section shall become operative on January 1, 2013.</p>","text":"(a) A district shall waive the fees of a student who is exempt from paying nonresident tuition under Section 68130.5, and who otherwise qualifies for a waiver under Section 76300, under regulations and procedures adopted by the board of governors. The Legislature finds and declares that this section is a state law within the meaning of Section 1621(d) of Title 8 of the United States Code.
