(SB 816)   Effective January 1, 2019.","effective":"2019-01-01","html":"<p>For purposes of this article, Article 19 (commencing with Section <a href=\"/edc/8420\">8420</a>), and Article 22.6 (commencing with Section <a href=\"/edc/8484.7\">8484.7</a>), the following definitions shall apply:</p><p>(a) “Expanded learning” means before school, after school, summer, or intersession learning programs that focus on developing the academic, social, emotional, and physical needs and interests of pupils through hands-on, engaging learning experiences.
