Effective January 1, 1996.","effective":"1996-01-01","html":"<p>Notwithstanding any provision of Chapter 8 (commencing with Section 20670), the normal rate of contribution for a local miscellaneous member subject to Section <a href=\"/gov/20552\">20552</a> shall be 2 percent of the compensation paid to the member. A contracting agency may pay all or a portion of the normal contributions required to be paid by a local miscellaneous member pursuant to Section <a href=\"/gov/20691\">20691</a>.</p><p>This section shall be construed as if it were a part of Chapter 8 (commencing with Section 20670).</p>","text":"Notwithstanding any provision of Chapter 8 (commencing with Section 20670), the normal rate of contribution for a local miscellaneous member subject to Section 20552 shall be 2 percent of the compensation paid to the member.
