Effective January 1, 2003.","effective":"2003-01-01","html":"<p>(a) On or before July 1 of each year, the board of trustees shall adopt a resolution establishing its appropriations limit and make other necessary determinations for the following fiscal year pursuant to Article XIII B of the California Constitution and Division 9 (commencing with Section <a href=\"/hsc/7900\">7900</a>) of the Government Code. </p><p>(b) Pursuant to subdivision (c) of Section <a href=\"/hsc/9\">9</a> of Article XIII B of the California Constitution, this section shall not apply to a district which existed on January 1, 1978, and that did not as of the 1977–78 fiscal year levy an ad valorem tax on property in excess of twelve and one-half cents ($0.125) per one hundred dollars ($100) of assessed value. </p>","text":"(a) On or before July 1 of each year, the board of trustees shall adopt a resolution establishing its appropriations limit and make other necessary determinations for the following fiscal year pursuant to Article XIII B of the California Constitution and Division 9 (commencing with Section 7900) of the Government Code.
