(AB 1391)   Effective January 1, 2014.","effective":"2014-01-01","html":"<p>(a) Sections <a href=\"/ins/1070\">1070</a>, <a href=\"/ins/1070.5\">1070.5</a>, <a href=\"/ins/1070.6\">1070.6</a>, <a href=\"/ins/1071.5\">1071.5</a>, <a href=\"/ins/1072\">1072</a>, and <a href=\"/ins/1076\">1076</a> shall be applicable to underwritten title companies.</p><p>(b) The following terms from Sections <a href=\"/ins/1070\">1070</a>, <a href=\"/ins/1070.5\">1070.5</a>, <a href=\"/ins/1070.6\">1070.6</a>, <a href=\"/ins/1071.5\">1071.5</a>, <a href=\"/ins/1072\">1072</a>, and <a href=\"/ins/1076\">1076</a> shall be applicable to underwritten title companies as follows:</p><p>(1) “Certificate of Authority” shall mean an underwritten title company license.</p><p>(2) “Insurer” shall mean an underwritten title company.</p><p>(3) “Reinsurer” shall mean a title underwriter or another underwritten title company.</p><p>(c) For the purposes of this section, Sections <a href=\"/ins/1070\">1070</a>, <a href=\"/ins/1070.5\">1070.5</a>, <a href=\"/ins/1070.6\">1070.6</a>, <a href=\"/ins/1071.5\">1071.5</a>, <a href=\"/ins/1072\">1072</a>, and <a href=\"/ins/1076\">1076</a> shall be construed in accordance with the nature of underwritten title companies and the business of title insurance.</p>","text":"(a) Sections 1070, 1070.5, 1070.6, 1071.5, 1072, and 1076 shall be applicable to underwritten title companies.
