Operative January 1, 2026, by its own provisions.","effective":"2025-01-01","html":"<p>Paragraph (1) of subdivision (a) of Section <a href=\"/pen/26350\">26350</a> does not apply to, or affect, the open carrying of an unloaded handgun incident to any of the following:</p><p>(a) Complying with Section <a href=\"/pen/27560\">27560</a> or <a href=\"/pen/27565\">27565</a>, as it pertains to that handgun.</p><p>(b) Section <a href=\"/pen/28000\">28000</a>, as it pertains to that handgun.</p><p>(c) Section <a href=\"/pen/27850\">27850</a> or <a href=\"/pen/31725\">31725</a>, as it pertains to that handgun.</p><p>(d) Complying with Section <a href=\"/pen/27875\">27875</a>, as it pertains to that handgun.</p><p>(e) Complying with or utilizing Section <a href=\"/pen/26556\">26556</a>, <a href=\"/pen/26892\">26892</a>, <a href=\"/pen/27920\">27920</a>, <a href=\"/pen/27925\">27925</a>, <a href=\"/pen/29810\">29810</a>, or <a href=\"/pen/29830\">29830</a>, as it pertains to that handgun.</p><p>(f) Complying with paragraph (2) of subdivision (e) of Section <a href=\"/pen/32000\">32000</a>, as it pertains to that handgun.</p><p>(g) Complying with Section <a href=\"/fam/6389\">6389</a> of the Family Code, as it pertains to that handgun.</p><p>(h) Complying with Section 527.9 of the Code of Civil Procedure, as it pertains to that handgun.</p><p>(i) This section shall become operative on January 1, 2026.</p>","text":"Paragraph (1) of subdivision (a) of Section 26350 does not apply to, or affect, the open carrying of an unloaded handgun incident to any of the following: (a) Complying with Section 27560 or 27565, as it pertains to that handgun.
