Operative January 1, 2026, by its own provisions.","effective":"2025-01-01","html":"<p>(a) Section <a href=\"/pen/26500\">26500</a> does not apply to sales, deliveries, transfers, or returns of firearms made pursuant to any of the following:</p><p>(1) Sections <a href=\"/pen/18000\">18000</a> and <a href=\"/pen/18005\">18005</a>.</p><p>(2) Division 4 (commencing with Section <a href=\"/pen/18250\">18250</a>) of Title 2.</p><p>(3) Section <a href=\"/pen/29810\">29810</a>.</p><p>(4) Chapter 2 (commencing with Section <a href=\"/pen/33850\">33850</a>) of Division 11.</p><p>(5) Sections <a href=\"/pen/34005\">34005</a> and <a href=\"/pen/34010\">34010</a>.</p><p>(b) Section <a href=\"/pen/26500\">26500</a> does not apply to the sale, delivery, or transfer of a firearm to a dealer to comply with Section <a href=\"/fam/6389\">6389</a> of the Family Code.</p><p>(c) Section <a href=\"/pen/26500\">26500</a> does not apply to the sale, delivery, or transfer of a firearm to a dealer to comply with Section 527.9 of the Code of Civil Procedure.</p><p>(d) Section <a href=\"/pen/26500\">26500</a> does not apply to the sale, delivery, or transfer of a firearm to a dealer to comply with Section <a href=\"/pen/18120\">18120</a>.</p><p>(e) This section shall become operative on January 1, 2026.</p>","text":"(a) Section 26500 does not apply to sales, deliveries, transfers, or returns of firearms made pursuant to any of the following: (1) Sections 18000 and 18005.
