Operative January 1, 1983, by Sec. 8 of Ch. 1443.","effective":"1982-09-27","html":"<p>Prior to the sale of any owner-occupied residential property, the treasurer or his or her designee shall, in person, make every reasonable effort to meet with the owner-occupant in the office of the treasurer or his or her designee or otherwise speak with the owner-occupant. During this contact, the treasurer or his or her designee shall, in language understandable to the owner-occupant, explain that the property will be sold unless the delinquency is paid.
