Effective January 1, 1993.","effective":"1993-01-01","html":"<p>(a) Within 60 days of the approval of a drug in accordance with subdivision (a) of Section <a href=\"/wic/14105.43\">14105.43</a>, the department shall assign to that drug a reimbursement code, and provide notice to providers that the drug is on the Medi-Cal list of contract drugs.</p><p>(b) In the event that a manufacturer has not notified the department in writing of the approval of a drug by the United States Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) or an AIDS-related condition within 15 days of that approval, the department shall be granted an additional 30 days to comply with subdivision (a).
