ARTICLE 7. Pupil Attendance Alternatives

Amended by Stats. 2025, Ch. 67, Sec. 55. (AB 1170) Effective January 1, 2026.

(a) A school district of choice shall give first priority for attendance to siblings of children already in attendance in that school district.

(b) A school district of choice shall give second priority for attendance to pupils eligible for free or reduced-price meals, and pupils who are foster youth or homeless children or youth.
