(a) The Department of Housing and Community Development is hereby continued in existence in the California Housing and Homelessness Agency.

(b) This section shall become operative on July 1, 2026.

(a) The Department of Housing and Community Development is hereby continued in existence in the Business, Consumer Services, and Housing Agency.

(b) This section shall become inoperative on July 1, 2026, and, as of January 1, 2027, is repealed.
